Gravitational waves and electromagnetic transients

چکیده

The advanced gravitational wave (GW) detector network has started {routine detection of } signals from merging compact binaries. Data indicate that in a fair fraction these sources, at least one component was neutron star, bringing with it the possibility electromagnetic (EM) radiation. So far, confirmed link between EM and GW radiation been established for only source, GW170817. Joint analysis broadband multiwavelength data signal have yielded rich information spanning fields as varied jet physics, cosmology, nucleosynthesis. Here, we discuss importance such joint observations, well current near-future efforts to discover study more counterparts sources.
